From 2016 to 2019, I transformed Bleacher Report into a platform for award-winning journalism, founding B/R Mag and spearheading a slate of A-list original video franchises, including these innovative projects:

B/REAL

In partnership with Carmelo Anthony, I created, wrote and executive-produced a docu-series that connects everyday heroes with superstars for life-changing moments and charity. Guest-starring Chris Paul, Drew Brees, Candace Parker, Sue Bird, Alvin Kamara, Larry Fitzgerald, Bayern Munich and more, B/REAL won the Edward R. Murrow Award for Sports Reporting in both 2019 and 2020.

I created a multi-platform, athlete-first mobile video package on cannabis in sports, in your face and in your feed. Honored by the 2019 Associated Press Sports Editors Contest for Video of the Year and 2018 Folio Award for Visual Digital Storytelling. Executive produced with Matt Barnes.

#LARGERTHANLIFE

Superstar athletes, B/R Mag profiles, gigantic murals and short films tying them together for the @BRfootball brand launch. This was reporting that influenced art, which influenced video, which influenced culture.

b/R MAG

As founding editor of this destination startup for long-form sports journalism and social + mobile storytelling, I oversaw experiments in interactive packaging, first-person video, podcasting, fashion and animation. I built a diverse, cross-functional team across editorial, social, design and product to create premium brand. I edited and produced dozens of award-winning stories and evolved B/R’s investigative coverage by assigning and editing definitive stories on domestic violence and sexual assault in the NFL, the national-anthem debate, mental health, police violence and the rise of the modern empowered athlete.
